Effective link building can lead to great results in terms of SEO, according to an expert.
Writing on Search Engine Watch, commentator Gareth Owen emphasised the importance of integrating quality links into a website.
He explained that link building that is relevant and done in the correct context can result in a dramatic impact on a company's position in search engine rankings.
"We've all seen examples of irrelevant articles with links at the bottom. This is bad practice, bad for the user, and ultimately bad for SEO," he said.
"SEO is still a numbers game at its heart – do enough of the right things and you'll rank number one."
According to Mr Owen, companies should build up a database of relevant websites that they develop strong business relationships with.
The expert explained that this will have a positive impact on the SEO as well as giving visitors to the website "added value".
